    In the aftermath of Hurricane Helene’s widespread destruction in the mountains of east Tennessee and western North Carolina, God’s Warehouse became a critical link in the collection and delivery of much needed disaster relief supplies. Hundreds of volunteers manned God’s Warehouse daily to keep the supplies rolling into the disaster relief areas. Over $34 million in relief food and materials passed through God’s Warehouse on the way to the communities impacted by Hurricane Helene.

  • Washington County Highway Dept.
    One of only three county highway departments in Tennessee with its own asphalt plant, the Department employs 88 people and uses nearly 300 pieces of equipment to provide drivers with safe roads in good repair. All through roads and the majority of dead ends in Washington County are recently paved. Very few counties in the nation can make such a claim.

The business they created has stood the test of time and is still vital to the farmers, and indeed the entire community, today. The Co-op is open to everyone and is still owned by the local farmer members.
