Long term recovery groups help residents find resources to help satisfy needs in their personal recovery plans. Our scope of service identifies the group’s priorities and limitations to attempt to connect residents with agencies and organizations that provide disaster relief and resources. The group limits its assistance to resources directly tied to the disaster and its impact.
The Washington County Long Term Recovery Group scope of service is to:
- Establish a public profile within the community to provide information about recovery resources following a disaster
- Engage qualified residents affected by disaster to assess and support recovery efforts lead by the resident
- Partner with qualified residents to support personal recovery plans and provide resources for unmet needs essential to complete the recovery process
- Collaborate with partners to help restore properties affected by disaster to the state of being prior to the disaster, or as close as realistically possible
